Plant and Seed Stand

4/27/2020

Picture
If you have your own garden, this will be the time of year when you might find that you have a few extra plants and seeds. It's a shame to throw them away. Why not give them away to your neighbours.
Picture
If you decide to make a little stand like ours, make sure that you practice safe handling! When touching anything you are giving away, make sure that you wear gloves and a face mask, or leave your items to sit without being touched for 10 days before setting outside your house.

We found that we had lots of extra pumpkin plants and  seeds as well as some extra rose cuttings. We labeled the plants and seeds and will set them outside our house this coming weekend for neighbours to collect.

We would love to see pics of your plant stands or any plants that you are growing this spring! Post them #GoldenToadKids

Colourful flowers can making a sort of paint! What will your pictures look like? We would love to see your pictures! #GoldenToadKids
YOU WILL NEED:
paper (watercolour paper will work better, but printer paper will work too)
flowers
rock or hammer or both
paper towel

Picture

STEP 1: Find some colourful flowers and arrange them on your paper. The more brilliant the colour of your flowers, the better your artwork will look!
Picture

STEP 2: Cover your flowers with a paper towel and use a rock or hammer to pound your flowers until you see lots of colours coming through the paper towel.
Picture

STEP 3: To make sure you get all the colour out, you might want to ask your grownup to have a go at pounding, either with a rock or hammer.
Picture

STEP 4: Let the picture sit for about 10 minutes, and then take the paper towel away, remove the flowers, and you will see your masterpiece!
